🎉 Exciting News! 🎉
Last week, the SOS Medical Foundation and Interior Health staff celebrated the ribbon cutting of our groundbreaking CT Scanner project at Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH), setting a new standard for patient care in the South Okanagan!
Thanks to the incredible generosity of long-time supporter Peters Bros., who donated a staggering $1.7 million, and the unwavering support of our vibrant community, we’ve made a significant leap forward in healthcare. The new CT scanner is now fully operational, equipped with cutting-edge technology including increased speed and AI-driven dosage precision, ensuring top-notch care for all patients.
The demand for CT scans has been on the rise, evident from a significant surge in numbers from 17,892 scans in 2019/2020 to a staggering 21,711 scans last year.
“This remarkable achievement underscores the power of community collaboration in shaping the future of health care,” said Ian Lindsay, CEO, SOS Medical Foundation. “We are incredibly grateful to our generous donors who funded a significant portion of the new machine. We are thrilled to be a part of this innovative project at PRH.”
A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in making this project a reality! Together, we’re setting new standards and positively impacting patient care in our community and beyond.
