Carl Meadows
Carl Meadows Bio
Carl was selected and invited to sit on the SOS Medical Foundation Board of Directors as the Interior Health representative. He was raised in the town of Port Coquitlam, BC within metro Vancouver. Carl is a trail blazer for diversity, equity and inclusion, having a natural intuitive sense that it is our differences that make us valuable and interesting. Carl’s passion for the arts comes from a true appreciation of the importance art plays to enlighten, inspire and communicate.
Carl graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1993 and through nursing, he found another outlet to demonstrate his commitment to making the world more compassionate. Carl and his husband Les support many charitable initiatives in BC, including annually hosting a Fall Gala for ‘Out in Schools’ called the ‘Fall Gala”. The impact behind this annual event is to make sure every student has the opportunity to see their self worth through LGBTQ visibility, support and action to make the world safe for everyone. Carl also cofounded the National Charity called the Rainbow Foundation of Hope.
